Oppo has launched the K15 in China, marking the third device in its K15 series lineup, joining the previously released Oppo K15 Pro and Oppo K15 Pro+. The new smartphone is currently available for purchase in China through Oppo’s official website, offered in a single RAM and storage configuration with two color options to choose from.
Software and Display
The Oppo K15 is a dual-SIM device running Oppo’s latest ColorOS 16 software, built on top of Android 16. On the display front, the phone features a 6.59-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1,256 x 2,760 pixels, supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate and a fast 240Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input.
The display also offers peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits, support for 1.07 billion colors, full 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, a sharp 460 ppi pixel density, and a 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, indicating notably slim bezels around the display. Oppo also claims the phone carries an IP69 rating, offering protection against both dust and water, including resistance to high-pressure water jets, a notably strong durability rating for a device in this price range.
Performance and Cooling
Under the hood, the Oppo K15 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Super chipset, reaching a peak clock speed of 2.5GHz, paired with an ARM Mali-G615 GPU. The device includes 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, along with Oppo’s Tidal Engine software optimization system, designed to help improve overall system performance and responsiveness.
To manage heat during demanding tasks, the phone includes an active cooling fan alongside a vapour chamber cooling system, covering a substantial 4,950 sq mm heat dissipation area, an unusually robust cooling setup for a mid-range device, and one that suggests Oppo is targeting sustained performance during gaming or other intensive use cases.
Camera Setup
For photography, the Oppo K15 includes a dual rear camera system, led by a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, autofocus, dual-axis optical image stabilization, and support for up to 10x digital zoom. It’s paired with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera featuring an f/2.2 aperture and a wide 143-degree field of view.
Up front, the phone houses a 50-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus support, a notably high-resolution front camera compared to what’s typically found in this price segment. The device supports video recording at up to 4K resolution at 30fps across its cameras.
Battery and Connectivity
Battery life is handled by a substantial 8,000mAh cell, supporting 80W wired fast charging, giving the Oppo K15 both strong battery capacity and reasonably quick recharge times.
On connectivity, the phone supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port. For navigation, it includes support for BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC, offering broad global positioning compatibility.
The device also includes a comprehensive sensor suite, featuring a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, color temperature sensor, e-compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor for biometric security, and an IR blaster for controlling compatible home appliances.
Dimensions and Build
The Oppo K15 measures 158.3 x 75.13 x 8.31mm and weighs approximately 206 grams, keeping it reasonably manageable in hand despite its large battery capacity and robust cooling system.
Overall Positioning
With its combination of a large 8,000mAh battery, a high-resolution triple-50-megapixel camera setup (including the selfie camera), an IP69 durability rating, and an unusually thorough cooling system, the Oppo K15 looks positioned as a well-rounded mid-range option for buyers who want strong battery life and solid all-around performance without stepping into flagship pricing. As of now, Oppo has only confirmed availability in China, with no word yet on whether the K15 will expand to other international markets.

The Oppo K15 is priced at CNY 2,299, roughly Rs. 33,000, for its sole variant featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone is available for purchase through the Oppo China online store, offered in Gale Grey and Rapid White color options.
